comment:"\"Negative staining indicated that all peptides self-assemble forming fibrous arrangements with the basic characteristics of amyloid fibrils, since they appear straight, long and unbranched with a tendency to coalesce laterally (Fig. 1). More specifically, the ‘aggregation-prone’ peptides HZP2_A and HZP3_G self-assemble into amyloid-like fibrils with a diameter of 30–50 Å that coalesce laterally forming striated ribbons of various thickness (Fig. 1A,D).
