Annotations for the interactionfigure legend:f4
comment:"\"In a reaction mixture (100 μl), the purified MCM2-7 complex (2.8 pmol as a hexamer) was mixed with purified MCM-BP (18 pmol as a monomer). After incubation for 3 h at 4°C, the mixture was separated by glycerol gradient centrifugation (middle). MCM2-7 proteins were mainly detected in fraction no. 7-9, suggesting that MCM complexes smaller than the MCM2-7 hexamer were formed. They probably included the MCM2/4/6/7 tetramer. In this reaction, MCM-BP was sedimented more quickly than the purified MCM-BP (bottom), suggesting that some MCM-BP binds to MCM2-7 proteins. These results indicate that MCM-BP disassembles the MCM2-7 hexamer to generate smaller MCM complexes.\""
